Happy 16th Anniversary

... to my husband and me!

Year after year it´s a challenge to create a masculine card for my husband... I´m too girly and "vintagy" for masculine cards!

This year a stroke of good fortune came to the rescue of me:

by pure chance I found the center-piece of my card on that pebbly beach in Croatia this summer - what a "gem" ! I knew instantly what I would use it for :-)

... I opted for this dry embossing folder (Cuttlebug) to mimic the motion of the sea/waves...

What a rare fluke to find such a perfectly shaped pebble!

Hubby wants a new road bike next year - so my gift will be related to his wish...

First Snow

... even though I´m a loyal fan of summer, I nevertheless appreciate the beauty of winter... this card was the attempt to express how beautiful and peaceful a wintry night can be...

... obwohl ich ein großer Sommer-Fan bin, weiß ich doch auch die Schönheit des Winters zu schätzen.... diese Karte war der Versuch auszudrücken, wie schön und friedlich eine klare Winternacht sein kann....

I used a Memory Box die on white glittery paper and dark blue designer paper for the night sky.

Ballet Dancer

Today´s card is meant for these 2 challenges: 

City Crafter Challenge: "Coppelia" - use a Ballerina     and    I (heart) Promarkers: for a little girl
                                                  

I was instantly inspired  by these challenges and by ballet performances on some gorgeous locations here in Vienna/Austria ....(take a look at these pictures - "click" for bigger pictures - and this one) ....and therefore visualized a quite opulent and pompous card ... so I chose 2 pretty dominant background papers, a deckle edge paper card base and lots of glitter-glue and a huge rhinestone!

The stunningly beautiful image is from A Day For Daisies -  and this is how it turned out in the end:
