Happy 16th Anniversary

... to my husband and me!

Year after year it´s a challenge to create a masculine card for my husband... I´m too girly and "vintagy" for masculine cards!

This year a stroke of good fortune came to the rescue of me:

by pure chance I found the center-piece of my card on that pebbly beach in Croatia this summer - what a "gem" ! I knew instantly what I would use it for :-)

... I opted for this dry embossing folder (Cuttlebug) to mimic the motion of the sea/waves...

What a rare fluke to find such a perfectly shaped pebble!

Hubby wants a new road bike next year - so my gift will be related to his wish...

Anniversary card

First Snow

... even though I´m a loyal fan of summer, I nevertheless appreciate the beauty of winter... this card was the attempt to express how beautiful and peaceful a wintry night can be...

... obwohl ich ein großer Sommer-Fan bin, weiß ich doch auch die Schönheit des Winters zu schätzen.... diese Karte war der Versuch auszudrücken, wie schön und friedlich eine klare Winternacht sein kann....

I used a Memory Box die on white glittery paper and dark blue designer paper for the night sky.

Ballet Dancer

Today´s card is meant for these 2 challenges: 

City Crafter Challenge: "Coppelia" - use a Ballerina     and    I (heart) Promarkers: for a little girl
                                                  

I was instantly inspired  by these challenges and by ballet performances on some gorgeous locations here in Vienna/Austria ....(take a look at these pictures - "click" for bigger pictures - and this one) ....and therefore visualized a quite opulent and pompous card ... so I chose 2 pretty dominant background papers, a deckle edge paper card base and lots of glitter-glue and a huge rhinestone!

The stunningly beautiful image is from A Day For Daisies -  and this is how it turned out in the end:

Just Black and White

Heute möchte ich gerne bei einer österreichischen Challenge mitmachen: Schwarz/Weiß bei Vienna Impressions.
Zuerst dachte ich "Das wird fad, so ganz ohne Farbe", aber nun bin ich mit meinem Ergebnis recht zufrieden - natürlich konnte ich nicht umhin, die Karte ordentlich mit Strass aufzupeppen! :-)
Da Cath von The Moxie Fab World die Einreichfrist für die Postage Challenge verlängert hat, möchte ich mit dieser Karte gern auch dort mitmachen.

Today I´d like to participate in an Austrian challenge: Black&White at Vienna Impressions.
My first thought was, that this might become a boring card - without any colour, but now I´m quite satisfied how it turned out - of course I jazzed it up with lots of bling! :-)
Since Cath from the Moxie Fab World extended the deadline for her Postage Challenge, I´d like to join there. too.

Bei der Arbeit daran ist mir ein ärgerlicher Fehler passiert: ich hab die Karte irrtümlich auf ein offenes Stempelkissen gelegt - so ein Mist! - da es aber die Rückseite war, dachte ich, ich mach einfach eine Signatur daraus...

When working on this card, I made an annoying mistake: I laid the card onto an open ink pad -  what a bummer! - but since it was only the back of the card, I decided to turn it into a signature...

Fresh Breeze

These blue and green pastel shades remind me of a fresh breeze on a slightly chilly morning in spring, don´t you agree?!

YES, I´ve been crafty again and made a new sticky notes booklet - here´s my new baby :-)

I found these huge diamonds in the deco section of a local florist supply shop - OF COURSE I HAD to buy them :-) Aren´t they gorgeous!

This is my entry for the current CR84FN Color Challenge...

Ros pointed me to this week´s challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog by her stunningly beautiful creation... the theme is A Rose is a Rose!

 

I don´t know if I can call my fabric flower a "rose", but I have an ace up my sleeve: there are roses on the designer paper!

I finally filled the "Digital Scapbooking" page (page tabs) and I started to fill up my new photography blog ... Living PICTUREsquely! ... there are only 2 pictures at this stage - but I´ll continue loading up pictures every day now...

Excuses/ Part Three

Ok, here´s the last one of all my excuses for not being creative in the last few weeks: 

I´v been to....

 LONDON for the first time of my life!! And it was truly an experience! 

Just the fact that nearly 8.000.000 people are living there - almost the same amount of habitants as in my little country Austria!
We found a very nice room (private)  http://www.9flats.com/de/places/9755-wohnung-london-camdentown?origin=search  and had a really good time there - although it was quite exhausting to whip through this huge city in 2,5 days! The weather was cold and wet, but our very friendly host assured us, that this is the "real London experience" :-)
We managed to see Big Ben, Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Notting Hill, Portobello Road, Camden Market, The Tower and Tower Bridge and the new/old Shakespeare Theater...

I enjoyed strolling through Camden Market and Portobello Road Market very much... we bought quite a few "keepsakes"  :-)  ... and sometimes only just having a look was very delightful, too...

As I already said, it was very cold and wet and sometimes we just had to indulge ourselves with some yummy treats...

 ...aren´t they absolutely gorgeous?
